This 20 day East African adventure combines the best of Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, beginning with a Kigali city tour and Golden Monkey trekking experience in Volcanoes and Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, followed by chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. The journey then continues to Kenya for a Nairobi city tour and exciting game drives in Amboseli and the Maasai Mara, with opportunities to see the Big Five and experience spectacular African landscapes. From Kenya, the adventure continues into Tanzania with safaris in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park, followed by time in Arusha. The trip concludes with a flight to Zanzibar, offering two days to relax and enjoy the island’s beautiful beaches before departure. Overall, the itinerary offers an exceptional combination of primate trekking, wildlife safaris, scenic landscapes, cultural experiences, adventure, and tropical relaxation.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and drive to Volcanoes National Park for overnight

This morning, our driver guide at the hotel for Kigali city tour and visit the Genocide memorial museum, Kimironko market and later transfer you to Volcanoes National Park

Day 2: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Idrive to Bwindi

Following breakfast at the lodge, drive to National Park Headquarters to meet your guides and Researcher for the day and begin your golden monkey trekking experience. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes.  Once you meet these Golden monkeys you will spend one hour with them and later transfer to Bindi Impenetrable National Park Via cyanika border

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Following breakfast at the lodge, travel to National Park Headquarters to meet your guides and Researcher for the day and begin your gorilla trekking experience. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your party on an early morning trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes.  The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.  You will have an opportunity to be with these gorillas for one hour within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities.  Mountain gorillas are extremely rare with only an estimated 1000 remaining in the wild.  This is an experience you won’t soon forget!

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park for overnight

Today, you will have a delicious breakfast, bid farewell to the lodge and embark on your vehicle and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, you will stop for lunch in Fort portal city, and proceed to Kibale National Park arriving in the evening, you will check in at Tabebuia Spa and safari resort for relaxation followed by dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking In Kibale National Park and Bigodi wetland walk

Today, you will drive to Kibale National Park Headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your chimpanzee trekking. Experienced guides, researchers and trackers will accompany your party on an afternoon trek into the forest to view wild chimpanzees as well as several other species of primates in their natural habitat. You will spend 1 hour with the Chimpanzees once you find them. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these amusing and very social apes for four hours, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities and they will take you through the whole process. Chimpanzees, our closest cousins, are extremely endangered with only an estimated 5000 remaining in Uganda.

Day 6: Drive to Entebbe for overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive to Entebbe for overnight, you will have several stops along the way for photography and proceed to the hotel for overnight

Day 7: Arrival and Nairobi city Tour

Fly from Entebbe to Jomo Kenyatta international airport, Upon arrival, you will be picked up at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and transfer to the hotel for check in and later depart for a half-day excursion to the Karen area, beginning with a visit to the Giraffe Centre, where you will have the opportunity to see and feed the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes from the elevated viewing platform while learning about conservation efforts. Continue to the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the renowned Danish author of Out of Africa, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the historic house, gardens, and surrounding grounds. Afterwards, proceed to Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens for a relaxed lunch in a beautiful garden setting, with time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before departing for The Social House Nairobi.

Day 8: Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey south towards Amboseli National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Kenyan countryside along the way. Arrive at Tulia Amboseli Lodge in time for lunch and check in.

In the afternoon, head out on your first game drive in Amboseli National Park, famous for its vast open plains, seasonal swamps, and large herds of free ranging elephants. The Park is also home to lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and over 400 bird species. On a clear day, enjoy spectacular views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Full day Game drive in Amboseli

Spend the day exploring the magnificent Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The Park offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year and is regarded as one of the best places in Africa to observe elephants at close range. Your experienced driver-guide will help track a variety of wildlife while sharing insights into the park’s unique ecosystem. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Fly to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Following breakfast, depart to the airstrip to fly to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, travelling through Kenya’s scenic Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Zebra Plains Mara Camp in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive in one of Africa’s finest wildlife destinations, home to the Big Five and abundant plains game. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the endless savannahs of the Masai Mara. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, topis, elands, and numerous antelope species as you experience one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations.

Return to camp before sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Full Day Game drive in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara with extensive game drives across different sections of the reserve. Your guide will track wildlife throughout the day, increasing your chances of encountering the famous Big Five; lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino; as well as cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, crocodiles, and countless plains game.

Travelling during September and October offers an excellent opportunity to witness the final stages of the Great Wildebeest Migration, as thousands of wildebeests and zebras may still be found within the reserve. While the migration is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, the Masai Mara provides exceptional wildlife viewing all year round, making every game drive a unique experience.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Serengeti

After an early breakfast, depart for the Kenya-Tanzania border and complete immigration formalities before continuing into the legendary Serengeti National Park with Lunch enroute. Enjoy a game drive en route to Pamoja Migration Camp, where you’ll arrive in time to settle in before dinner. The Serengeti’s endless plains offer exceptional opportunities to spot predators and vast herds of wildlife.

Day 13: Full day Game drive in sarengeti

Enjoy a full day exploring the magnificent Serengeti with extensive game drives across its endless savannahs. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and, depending on the season, the spectacular Great Migration. Return to Pamoja Migration Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s best wildlife viewing destinations, where you may encounter the endangered black rhino alongside lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. Later, proceed to Pamoja Farm Villa for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Transfer to Tarangire

Following breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant populations, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, where you’ll have excellent chances of spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species. Return to Pamoja Farm Villa for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Transfer to Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse national parks. Enjoy a leisurely game drive through its lush forests, open grasslands, and the Momella Lakes, where you may spot giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, flamingos, colobus monkeys, and a variety of birdlife, with the majestic Mount Meru providing a stunning backdrop. Pause to enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your wildlife exploration. Later in the afternoon, drive to Maasai Land Lodge in Arusha, where you will check in for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the memorable experiences of your East African safari.

Day 17: Arusha

Early morning pick-up from Maasailand Safari & Lodge in Arusha after early breakfast and drive to Marangu Gate, the starting point of the famous Marangu Route on Mount Kilimanjaro. After registration and meeting the professional mountain guide, begin the hike through the beautiful montane rainforest, enjoying the lush vegetation, birdlife and occasional views of the surrounding landscape. Continue at a comfortable pace towards Mandara Hut, with regular rest and photography stops along the way. Upon reaching Mandara Hut, enjoy a packed picnic lunch and, time and energy permitting, take a short walk towards Maundi Crater for scenic views. After lunch, begin the descent through the rainforest back to Marangu Gate, where the vehicle will be waiting for the drive back to Arusha. Arrive at Maasailand Safari & Lodge in the evening, marking the end of your memorable Mount Kilimanjaro day-hike experience.

Day 18: Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your beach resort on the beautiful coast of the island. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sandy beaches, enjoying the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, or unwinding by the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.

Day 19: Zanzibar

Spend another day enjoying the tropical paradise of Zanzibar. Whether you prefer sunbathing, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, enjoying water sports, or indulging in a spa treatment, the island offers something for everyone. Optional activities such as deep-sea fishing, dolphin tours, or cultural village visits can also be arranged.

Day 20: Zanzibar

After breakfast, enjoy some free time at the resort depending on your flight schedule. Later, check out and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your memorable Tanzania holiday to a close.
