This 3-day safari is designed for adventurous travelers who want the rare opportunity to trek mountain gorillas twice in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Each trek takes you to a different habituated gorilla family, giving you two unique encounters and two full hours with these incredible apes. Expect close-up photography, raw rainforest beauty, and unforgettable moments with the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Treks take place in Rushaga, Nkuringo, or Ruhija, depending on permit availability.
Morning:
Your Wild Ape professional driver-guide picks you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. Begin your scenic journey toward Uganda, stopping at the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a reflective visit. Afterward, continue toward the Cyanika border and cross into Uganda.
Afternoon:
Enjoy a hot lunch in Kabale, then continue through rolling hills, plantations, and the iconic Virunga massif. Keep your camera ready—your driver will gladly stop for photo moments.
Evening:
Arrive at your lodge, check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Begin your trek through Bwindi’s dense rainforest—duration varies from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on your assigned gorilla family.
Trek & Observation:
Once you encounter the gorillas, spend one full hour observing their behavior, capturing photos, and enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Afterward, return to the headquarters for your trekking certificate.
Evening:
Return to the lodge for relaxation. Optional activities available include a Batwa cultural experience. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Evening:
Drive back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, depending on your schedule.
