Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala → Lake Mburo National Park
Your WildApe driver-guide scoops you from your hotel or Entebbe Airport and you’re off—heading toward Lake Mburo NP, a relaxed 4–5 hour drive.
Expect a fun stop at the Equator – Kayabwe for photos, coffee, and that classic “one foot in each hemisphere” moment.
Arrive at your lodge for lunch and a bit of downtime. Later, head out for an easy afternoon on the water with a boat cruise, followed by a chilled game drive with chances of spotting:

- Antelopes
- Warthogs
- Hippos and crocs along the shores
Return for dinner and a peaceful night.

Day 2: Nature Walk → Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Start the morning with a guided nature walk—an easy, refreshing way to get up close with Mburo’s relaxed wildlife. Expect zebras walking right beside you and giraffes towering above the acacia trees.
After the walk, hit the road toward Bwindi. You’ll stop in Mbarara for lunch, then continue through rolling hills, banana plantations, and terraced farms. Keep your camera nearby—your WildApe driver is always happy to stop for the perfect shot.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening to unwind, have dinner, and soak in the forest atmosphere.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today is the big one—your gorilla trekking day.
After an early breakfast, head to the briefing point where rangers guide you through what to expect in the forest. Trekking can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on where your gorilla family is that day.
But once you find them, everything else fades.
You’ll spend one full magical hour with these gentle giants—watching them feed, play, nap, and interact.
After trekking, return to the lodge to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a quiet evening in the rainforest.

Day 4: Bwindi → Kibale National Park
After breakfast, say goodbye to Bwindi and begin your scenic journey toward Kibale Forest, the famous “Primate Capital of the World.”
You’ll make photo stops along the way, arriving in the late afternoon.
Settle into your lodge, enjoy the forest breeze, and wind down with dinner.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking + Bigodi Wetland Walk
Fuel up with breakfast, then head to the park for your chimpanzee trekking adventure. After a briefing with the rangers, step into the forest where you’ll track these energetic, vocal, fascinating primates.
You get one full hour with them once found—plenty of time to watch their social behavior, hear their calls, and enjoy this rare natural experience.
After lunch back at the lodge, take an afternoon stroll through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a chilled nature walk rich with birds and monkeys.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
