7 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Hell’s gate and Amboseli safari is one of Kenya’s most rewarding wildlife adventures, taking you through four of the country’s wonderful safari destinations. This carefully designed itinerary combines the endless wildlife rich plains of Masai Mara National Reserve, the birdlife and rhino sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park, the dramatic landscapes of Hell’s Gate National Park, and the elephant paradise of Amboseli National Park. Along the way, you will experience breathtaking scenery, exciting game drives, rich cultural encounters, and unforgettable moments in the African wilderness.
Your safari begins with an early pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. After meeting your professional safari guide, start on your journey to the world famous Masai mara National Reserve through scenic Great Rift Valley. Along the way, enjoy a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint for photography before reaching Masai Mara. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy the exciting game drive across the plains of the reserve, you will spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and many other wildlife species. If you are visiting during the period from July to October that is the Great Migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara ecosystem. Dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day safari. You will explore different sections of Masai Mara as your guide searches for the famous Big five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). You may also spot cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, along the Mara River and many bird species. In the afternoon, you will enjoy and go for the sundowner experience in the wilderness. After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and start your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for protecting one of Kenya’s largest populations of black and white rhinos, making it one of the country’s best places to observe these endangered animals. Besides rhinos, you may encounter Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, baboons and many bird species like pelicans, cormorants, flamingos, fish eagles and among others. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, with en-route game viewing experience as you start your journey to Hell’s Gate National Park. Hell’s Gate offers visitors the rare opportunity to explore on foot or by bicycle. You will enjoy an exciting cycling safari through the park while observing zebras, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes and warthogs in their natural habitat. You will also take a guided walk through the spectacular Hell’s Gate Gorge, that is known for its towering cliffs, geothermal activity and unique rock formations.
In the afternoon, proceed to nearby Lake Naivasha where you will do impressive boat cruise that offers you opportunities to see hippos, African fish eagles, kingfishers, cormorants and many water birds. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart to south towards Amboseli National Park, arrive in the time for lunch at your lodge before enjoying an afternoon game drive through the park. Amboseli is internationally famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest mountain. During your safari you will search for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hyenas, and various bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
On the 6th day of the safari, spend the entire day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning offers the best opportunity to photograph Mount Kilimanjaro, you will visit the park’s permanent swamps that are fed by underground springs from the mountain, where elephants, hippos and numerous water birds gather throughout the year.
You will enjoy picnic lunch, continue exploring different parts of the park while searching for the predators and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you will go for a traditional Maasai village tour allows you to experience local culture, traditional dances, handicrafts and Maasai way of life. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and then enjoy the en-route game drive to see the early risers. After start on your journey back to Nairobi, and once you arrive have en-route lunch. Later your guide will transfer you to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenyan safari.
