During the 6 days you will enjoy thrilling game drives in search of the Big five, visit natural attractions such as Mzima springs, Shetani lava flow, Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary and observe large elephant herds roaming beneath Africa’s tallest mountain. With experienced safari guides, and carefully planned activities, this safari offers the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation and authentic African experiences.
On the first day of the safari with a morning pick up from your hotel, airport in Nairobi/Mombasa. Your professional safari guide will welcome and brief you about the safari and start on your scenic drive to Tsavo West National Park. When you enter the park, you will experience your first game drive as you travel to your safari lodge. Tsavo West National Park is famous for its beautiful volcanic scenery, rolling hills, rich wildlife. Along the experience, you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, impalas and many bird species.
After lunch, and relaxation, you will head to the park for the game drive to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary for impressive sightings. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, get ready for a full day in Tsavo West National Park. During the morning game drive, you will visit beautiful Mzima Springs where crystal clear freshwater emerges from underground streams flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro. During a guided walk, you may observe hippos, crocodiles, colourful fish, many bird species continue with game drives through different sections of the park, including scenic viewpoints like Poacher’s Lookout. You will search for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife while enjoying the park’s spectacular scenery. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast depart Tsavo West and transfer to Tsavo East National Park while enjoying wildlife along the way. Once you arrive at your lodge during lunch time, check in and enjoy lunch and then go for the afternoon game drive through Tsavo East’s expansive savannah.
You will visit famous Aruba Dam, that is one of the park’s most important water sources where elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelope species gather to drink. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy the final morning game drive in the park and then visit Mudanda Rock which is the massive rock formation that attracts wildlife throughout the year. You will also pass near the spectacular Yatta Plateau, which is one of the world’s longest lava flows. Later depart Tsavo East and drive to Amboseli National Park, then arrive in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across Amboseli’s open plains. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is where you will spot buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, lions and many bird species. Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge.
After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring Amboseli National Park. You will start the day with a morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro is often visible before clouds cover it later in the day. Visit the park’s permanent swamps fed by underground springs from Mount Kilimanjaro, where elephants, buffaloes, hippos and water birds gather in large numbers.
After enjoy picnic lunch, and proceed with afternoon game drive through different parts of the park, this is where you will search for the lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, and numerous bird species.
You will also choose to visit a traditional Maasai village to experience the rich culture, traditional dances, colourful clothing and a unique way of life of one of Kenya’s most famous commutes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, check out from your lodge and with en-route game drive. This is one of the best times to capture unforgettable photographs of elephants walking across the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a magnificent backdrop. Then start on your journey back to Nairobi, upon arrival you will enjoy en-route lunch and then after transferred to your hotel, airport that brings your safari come to end.
