Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park.
Your safari starts with an early morning pick up from your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Your professional safari guide will brief you about the safari and then depart for Amboseli National Park through Nairobi-Mombasa Highway while enjoying beautiful views of the Kenya’s countryside, rural villages and farmlands.
Once you arrive the park in time for lunch at your safari lodge, check in and enjoy lunch. After lunch you will go for a game drive across Amboseli’s vast open plains, the park is famous for its large elephant herds, many of which roam freely against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. During the game drive, you may also encounter lions, buffaloes, giraffes zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, jackals, warthogs, gazelles and then rare bird species. Return at your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Amboseli National Park.
After breakfast, depart for a full day of wildlife exploration with your packed lunch. You will start your day with a morning game drive when the animals are most active and then Mount Kilimanjaro is often visible before the clouds gather around its summit. You will explore Amboseli’s famous permanent swamps, which are fed by the underground streams flowing from Mount Kilimanjaro. These wetlands attract large concentrations of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, waterbucks, and many bird species throughout the year.
You will continue exploring different parts of the park while searching for the predators such as lions, cheetahs as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, ostriches and many other wildlife species. You will later enjoy your lunch in the centre of the wilderness.
In the afternoon, you will go for the Maasai village tours to where you centre will learn about the Maasai people’s customs, colourful attire, traditional dances, livestock keeping culture and their unique way of life. After the exciting day in the wilderness, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Return to Nairobi.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After you will check out from your lodge and then start on your journey to Nairobi with the perfect en-route game viewing experience of early risers and it offers excellent conditions for photography, especially with the elephants walking across the plains beneath the snow capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After the experience you will start on your journey to Nairobi with the perfect views of Kenya’s countryside while reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and then beautiful landscapes experienced during your safari. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will enjoy your en-route lunch and after lunch, transfer to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta Airport, marking the end of your memorable Amboseli safari.
