You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel.
Pre-tour accommodation can be arranged at an extra cost.
After an early breakfast, your professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali at 7:00 AM and begin the drive to Akagera National Park. Along the way, you may stop for photography and to visit roadside vendors.
Upon arrival at the park, you will enjoy a short introductory game drive before proceeding to your lodge for check-in, lunch, and relaxation.
In the afternoon, depart for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, one of the highlights of Akagera National Park. During the cruise, you will see hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and numerous bird species including shoebill storks, herons, jacanas, ibis, and gonoleks.
