5.crossing borders: The East Africa Tourist Visa.
Are you planning to see the gorillas in Rwanda or visit the source of the Nile in Uganda on the same trip, if your safari covers, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda you should apply for the East Africa Tourist Visa instead of the standard ETA.
Costs: 100 USD.
Benefit: It allows you to move freely between these threw countries for 90 days without having to apply for new permits every time you cross a border.
Important rule: You just apply for this visa from the country that is your first point of entry. If you land in Nairobi first, you apply through the Kenyan system.
6. Arriving in Kenya: What to expect.
Once your eTA is approved, you will receive a PDF document through email.
Print it out: While you can show it on your phone, it is always safer to have a physical copy in case your phone battery dies or the airport Wi-Fi is slow.
